II. FemGAP's Goals to Address the Problem
Building research, reform, and student power.
FemGAP approaches women's health inequities from multiple angles:
generating better evidence, improving the ecosystem around women-led
innovation, and equipping the next generation to shape change early.
01
Closing Data Gaps
Data gaps create barriers for founders, researchers, and
policymakers working in women's health and well-being.
FemGAP works to identify where data is missing, biased, or
inaccessible, and to generate research that fills those gaps in
meaningful, actionable ways.
02
Improving the Ecosystem for Women Founders
We advocate for policy, funding, and institutional reforms that make
the innovation and policy ecosystem more equitable for women.
We also translate research insights into recommendations that
support women-led innovation in health, science, and technology.
03
Engaging the Next Generation
FemGAP centers youth, especially young women, as active
participants in shaping the future of women's health.
- Building understanding of where gaps exist and why they persist
-
Normalizing the idea that everyone deserves education about their
own bodies
-
Empowering students to use their unique perspectives to influence
research, policy, and innovation early in their careers
